The Wild Things and the Sleeping Beauties!

Now, you may assume that you know which class was better behaved: Where the Wild Things are and Sleeping Beauty.... Guess Again.

Our Wild Things were really an amazing class. They were such good kids. We had these 2 brothers in there that were 4 and 6. Both of them new all of the presidents. The 6 year old... If you said any number, he knew which president, and he also knew what states they were from. If this kid ever runs for president, he has my vote. We also had a little girl that was Katie from Horton Hears a Hoo. We had a brother and sister that were a little argumentative and difficult sometimes, but it was a great class. We had a lot of fun with them and just letting the wild rumpos start. lol

Sleeping Beauty was a class of, I believe 13 little girls. They were our wiggle worms and off topic little ladies. They had a lot of fun. There was one little girl that was an absolute trip. She told us that everything tastes like chicken, even her strawberry yogurt cheerios. And we live in a chicken world. We live inside chickens. She also said she had a dream about us, the 3 teachers, that we were being eaten by a giant chicken and cucumber(?)..... wherever that came from. AND she likes to suck the pool water from her hair. Yes. One little girl said all these things. lol And of course during this sharing, one girl said her super power was rainbow pickels, so all the rest had to be some form of pickles. It was a funny time.

It was a really fun week for me. Both of the girls I worked with were amazing, and I think we did well with creating and telling 2 fun stories. I feel like I have developed a new level of patience that has helped me grow as a teacher, lately. It feels good.

I am no longer a teenager. My birthday was enjoyable. Jami came in which was really exciting. We went to KFC, lol. and then we went to a really cool restaurant, The Pub, where all the waiters where kilts and they have tipsy berries, whatever those are. lol It was raining all day, so I went to see Public Enemies which was really moving. It was really dark, but I just really enjoyed the sound design and cinematography and the amazing performances by the different actors.

I am no longer a teenager. It's a weird thing to grasp. I dont really feel different. But I do.
